Spoken over a century ago by one of Middle Tennessee's most historic leaders, these words embody the spirit of Nashville Emerging Leaders (NEL).

Founded in 2002, NEL is an annual leadership training program aimed at young professionals. Each year, Nashville's most promising leaders are selected.


At NEL, our mission is simple:
  • CONNECT young, motivated professionals with peers and mentors.
  • Provide a forum for personal and professional GROWTH.
  • ENGAGE leaders in issues critical to our city's future.
  • Encourage them to IMPACT the community for the better.
